Trip to San Antonio!!

The G.T. ( gifted and talented) students in our elementary school, recently took a trip to San Antonio. Kyle was so excited that Jake and I had the opportunity to go with him. We had blast, but was totally worn out! We never stopped going!!!
The first day, we stopped at Natural Bridge Caverns. It was a 75-minute tour, which took us 180 feet below the ground to view stalagmites and stalactites created by millions of years of Texas rainfall. We used a cement walkway and handrails because the trail is steep and wet. That is one reason we were so tired!!
That night we took the river taxi on the Riverwalk to Joe's Crab Shack. They were so good with the kids. As a matter of fact, some adults left! They did dances and limbo with the kids. Lots of fun. Afterwards they all had ice cream sundaes.
The next morning, we walked to the Alamo. {yes I said walk!} It was really neat. I actually learned alot more about the history of the state of Texas. Very interesting. Afterwards we rode the bus to Sea World, where we had a private tour of the animals. We even got to feed them ourselves. We saw Shamu, the seals and sea lions, the dolphins, and Beluga whales. My favorite were the penguins. They were soooo stinkin' cute!
Later that night, we ate at Rainforest Cafe. Shawna ordered the lettuce wraps. You'd think they would've came already wrapped, but they brought out this huge plate, with a big head of lettuce! We laughed so hard we had tears. Guess you had to be there. {Sorry Shawna! I know you are going to see this! LOL}
On the last day, we went to Mission San Juan. It was an old church used for missions, and it was beautiful. While there, we had the park ranger take us on a nature walk and view the river.
On the way back home, we stopped at a privately owned wildlife ranch, and got to tour the ranch. We saw whitetail, Elks, and red deer. They also had a baby giraffe and elk. So cute! Needless to say, we were totally exhausted when we were done, but learned alot, and had a blast!

Sounds like an awesome trip and I'd kill for the private tour of Sea World -- much cooler than cramming in with the millions of people otherwise. Glad it was fun.
